Sunday Lunch 17 January

We are pleased to announce that the Sunday lunch service will take place as usual on 17 January.

The snow has all melted and life can return to normal. (If you know what ‘normal’ is then let us know please.)

Winter Weather – Reduced Clubhouse Service

The bad weather means that many of the regular attendees for our weekend events and sauna evenings can’t make it.

Therefore we have decided to cancel the Sunday lunch service on 10 January and we may run a reduced service on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

New Years Eve

Due to circumstances beyond our control the planned event on New year’s Eve has been cancelled.

However we do expect the bar to be open and we will party until the midnight hour. The only difference is it will be us making our own entertainment rather than a formal event.

New Years Day Swim

We have turned the heating off so the swimming pool should be a nice temperature, about 5 Celsius. Just right for a swim.

Our annual event of the ‘Nude New Year’s Day Swim’ starts at 11 AM with severe hypothermia in the pool followed by a sauna. Then hot soup in the clubhouse.

Come and participate if you dare or cheer those ~~mad~~ hardy folk who brave the cold water. In 2009 there were four swimmers, can we make it five or more in 2010?

A Night at the Musicals

This event was planned for the 12 December. It has been postponed, we will fit it in sometime in January.

Jacki and Trevor need time to set up for the Christmas meal that is on the 13 December and it’s not practical to hold an event while they are setting up for the meal.

So if you were thinking of attending on the 12th still come along as we need help moving the tables and chairs, and shifting the pool table and table football game out of the way.
